VCUarts Qatar’s BFA + MFA Exhibition is an excellent way to discover the outstanding works of a new generation of art and design talent in Qatar

Character design, techno retro, motherhood, and privacy are just a few of the fascinating subjects being tackled at the 2018 VCUarts Qatar BFA + MFA Exhibition, which will open on May 5 at VCUarts Qatar.

The exhibition, which will run until May 19, will highlight the impressive efforts of VCUarts Qatar’s graduating students from the BFA and MFA degree programs. The works on display will cover the graphic, interior, fashion design, and painting and printmaking disciplines.

The yearly exhibition is considered to be an excellent way to discover the outstanding works of a new generation of art and design talent in Qatar.

The works of the Interior Design program seniors will be on display in the Atrium alongside those of the Fashion Design seniors, while the works of the MFA in Design seniors will be exhibited at VCUarts Qatar’s Gallery, with works by the Painting & Printmaking and Graphic Design seniors on display nearby at the Saffron Hall. Room 390 will also be hosting the CIDA (Council of Interior Design Accreditation) Accreditation exhibition. It contains a huge number of designs and details by our interior design students, past and present.

“The Painting and Printmaking Class of 2018 presents their senior degree projects as the culmination of earnest, unapologetic explorations in critical thinking and the drive to cultivate a personal vision. Four years of independent research have emerged in a rich tapestry of projects, ranging from private, ferocious and dire to preposterous, sensory, and joyous,” said Assistant Professor Fleming Jeffries of the Painting & Printmaking program at VCUarts Qatar.

Entry to the exhibitions is free and open to the public and will run until May 19. The exhibition hours are from 9am to 5pm, Saturday to Thursday. The exhibitions are closed on Fridays.
