33) Interior Design Basics

In this class, young design enthusiasts will get space to explore contemporary interior trends and learn about interior design. This class will be an opportunity to learn about interior design and its trends. The focus of this class will be aesthetics in interior design. This class will provide tools and resources to young designers to understand space and help them redesign interior spaces

Contemporary Interiors

Class 1: Spatial Arrangements and space analysis

Class 2: Floorplans 

Class 3: Ideation of contemporary styles

Class 4: Finalization of colour, material, and lighting

Class 5: Online 3D creation of the space

Class 6: Mood Board and Presentation

Items to buy for this class

Laptop, A2 Illustration Board, Scissors, Glue, Sketch Book, Color Pencils

On occasions, there may be some more materials to be bought and brought in if and when advised by the instructor.

Instructor

Asma Ul Hosna

Asma Ul Hosna is an Alumna of VCUQ with a major in Interior design. She acquired her Master's from University College of London in Qatar (UCL Qatar) in Museum Studies. She is interested in the transformative aspect of spaces and explores multi-functionality of space through interior design. She has worked in retail design and museum exhibition design. For the past three years, she has been teaching Interior design community classes at VCU Qatar and is working in the field of  Art and Culture.
