Branding is one of the most important aspects of any business, large or small, retail or B2B. An effective brand strategy gives a major edge in increasingly competitive markets. But what exactly does "branding" mean?
We will learn how to link that brand to your company's core values, and launching the brand into the marketplace to get it working for you. Whether you have an existing brands or you're starting from scratch to create a new one, we will look at how to build brand equity. Strong, effective brands give you a competitive advantage in the marketplace and help you make your way through market competition.
Like marketing, branding is an exciting career field of its own. You should be able to begin to develop the skills to create successful and authentic brands. To help you practice these tools, I'll use a case study. You may use the same or your own.

Pascale Lemelin is an Art Director from Canada. She graduated in Graphic Design in 1999, obtaining a BA from University Laval in the quaint and picture-perfect Quebec City. She started her two very own businesses publishing a magazine and opening a design studio and strived in these entrepreneurial endeavors. Ten years ago, she moved all the way to the Middle East, working in local and international agencies, and never looked back. She recently graduated from University of the Arts London (UAL) with a Master’s Degree in Fine Arts: Digital Arts and is keen to share her design knowledge with university students and anyone who wants to find ways to express their creativity with art and design.
