Doha, Qatar, VCUQatar fashion department recently hosted the launch of Bill Blass Fragrances in Qatar.Distinguished female guests enjoyed a sumptuous season brunch hosted by Fauchon along with a presentation of some master pieces from the famous Fashion house collection showcased at Sacks Fifth Avenue Dubai, the Middle East Bill Blass fashion exclusive retailer.
The idea was born when Sandra Wilkins, Department Chair for Fashion Design at VCUQatar met with Catherine Louesse distribution Manager in Qatar Luxury Company and with Nasser Kala General Manager Fauchon as both were looking for a convenient place to host the fragrance launch event.
The Obvious venue to launch theBILL BLASS fragrance was VCUQatar . The university's state of the art atrium provided all technical facilities for reception as well as for catwalk. Furthermore it was good opportunity to introduce the Fashion department's students to the modern, sophisticated, tailored clothing of Bill Blass.
With the spirit of discovering and nurturing new talents in the country, Qatar Luxury Company and Fauchon, both entities part of the Ali Bin Ali Group of Companies, will contribute money to support a scholarship for a student studying fashion at VCUQatar. On top of initiating a strong partnership between the three parties the Bill Blass launching event should be a glamorous and joyful way to lead the path towards the festive season with Eid and Christmas coming up.
