Archive
The VCUQ Archive collects, preserves and makes available records and materials relating to the development and history of VCUQ and its various departments. Contact Tammi Moe for more information.

Collection Development
Faculty and students are encouraged to participate in the development of the Library's collection by making suggestions for book, journal and other acquisitions relevant to the school's programs. Contact Dana Beth with your ideas.

Document Delivery
Copies of book chapters and journal articles owned by VCU Richmond can be delivered electronically to your e-mail address. To request this service, go to ILLIAD. Be sure to specify distance education faculty or staff, choose the option mail to address and specify that you are in Qatar. At this time, only faculty and honors students can borrow books from VCU Richmond.

Education City Interlibrary Loan
Students, faculty and staff at VCUQ can borrow books and audiovisual materials from the Education City libraries at the Academic Bridge Program, Carnegie Mellon, Cornell, Georgetown, Qatar Academy and TAMUQ. Links to the schools' online catalogs are on Library homepage. Individuals can borrow up to five books for 14 days with one renewal, and one audiovisual item for three days, subject to the policies of each library. To request an item through interlibrary loan, see Eman Mazhar at the Circulation Desk in the library. Do not go to the library you are requesting the item from. Eman will handle the request and make sure you receive the item. Participating Education City libraries may borrow up to five books for 14 days and one audiovisual item for three days from VCUQ. Requests should be made through the patron's home library.

Image Resources
The VCUQ Image Library supports VCUQ teaching, research, scholarship and administrative projects by providing digital images, slides and other audiovisual materials. It provides knowledge and support to VCUQ faculty and staff through technical documentation and training. Training sessions and individualized coaching on the access and use of images is offered. Contact Tammi Moe for more information.

Library Instruction
Instruction is provided to introduce students to strategies for doing library research and to the Library's collections, services, and research tools. Instruction tailored to individual courses is also available by faculty request. Contact Nancy Fawley to make a request.

Reference and Research Help
One-on-one research assistance is also offered to faculty and students. Contact Nancy Fawley for more information.

Reserves
Faculty may place items on reserve for their classes. A list including author, title and call number, along with the instructor's name, course number and preferred loan period, should be given to Tamara Carter. Items on reserve normally circulate for two hours or one, three or seven days; the faculty member selects the loan period. Photocopies or journal articles and personal copies provided by the instructor may also be placed on reserve.
