VCUQatar announced the launch of its Sixth Annual Design Competition. The Design Competition, open to all students in their senior year of high school, is being launched in Qatar, UAE, Oman, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Lebanon, Jordan, Egypt, Syria, Pakistan and for the first time this year Yemen and Palestine.

VCUQ welcomed the forty four students that make up the Class of 2011. This is the first year VCUQ accepts male students, 9% of the new intake were male. As well as Qatari students, the class of 2001 also has students from Egypt, India, Jordan, Namibia, New Zealand, Oman, Pakistan, Philippines, Sudan, Syria Turkey and the USA.
