ON AND OFF-CAMPUS ACCESS TO ELECTRONIC RESOURCES
There are two ways to access electronic resources on and off-campus, depending on whether the resource is subscribed to here in Doha or in Richmond.
Quick links to frequently used databases can be found on the VCUQatar Library homepage http://www.qatar.vcu.edu/output/page220.asp. VCU Richmond's full range of electronic resources, arranged by subject or alphabetically, can also be accessed via the Library homepage.
VCUQatar databases and electronic journals:
Please see the Service Desk in the library for the username and password to access the following e-journals and databases on and off-campus: ARTstor, The Chronicle of Higher Education, Credo Reference, The Europa World of Learning, Gale Virtual Reference, The Journal of Material Culture, Omni File Full Text, Material ConneXion and ViewsWire
VCU Richmond databases and electronic journals:
These are preceded by an asterisk on the VCUQatar Library homepage and require a username and password to access them on and off campus. You will be prompted for a username and password:
- Username: your eID
- Password: your eID password
FACULTY: If you do not know your eID go to Search VCU People at http://search.vcu.edu and type in your last name. Your eID is the first part of your VCU (not VCUQatar) email address. If you cannot remember your eID password or don't think you know it, go to the VCUQatar IT office (room 059) and ask to have it reset.
STUDENTS: Your eID is the first part of your VCUQatar email address. Your password is the same as the one you use to access your VCUQatar email account. If your password does not work or you cannot remember it, go to the VCUQatar IT office (room 059) and ask to have it reset.
