Islamic Art Symposium
In the Fall of 2007 VCUQ will host its first biennial Islamic Arts Symposium. The symposium will invite scholars to speak about the influence of Islamic Art on modern western culture and traditions. Design Conference
Tasmeem Doha is Design Conference hosted annually by VCUQatar. The purpose of this design conference is to gather top-notch designers who have insight and experience with the accomplishments and true nature of design, to establish discussions, to provide examples and inspirations of how the design process, practice and potential can be vital resources for a healthy and changing society in the Middle East.

As well as presentations by international designers, Tasmeem Doha includes design exhibitions and panel discussions with Qatar's decision makers. Participants include practitioners, design professors and students from academic institutions and facilities throughout the world. Lectures and Forums
VCUQ has an ongoing public lecture series on the Arts and Architecture of the Islamic World. Past events have included lectures about the origins of the dome structures found in Florence Italy. For more information about upcoming guest lectures open to the public please call +974 492 7245
