International Students
VCUQatar has a diverse population of students with many of them primary residents in other countries. There are many resources available to these international students both through the Student Affairs Office at VCUQatar and the Student Affairs Department at Qatar Foundation.
Students receive visas through the Qatar Foundation and may choose to live in Qatar Foundation housing. Qatar Foundation organizes an annual international students orientation for all the students of Education City and additional programs are offered throughout the year by VCUQatar counselors. Assistance with immigration issues is provided by the Deans Office.

- June 28 Deadline for visa application
- July 1 Deadline for Student Housing application
- August 12 International Students Orientation Begins
- August 19 VCUQatar Orientation Begins
- August 20 VCUQatar Family Day
- August 26 VCUQatar begins
Students who are sponsored by family members living in Qatar are not considered international students. They should contact Student Affairs at VCUQatar with questions about change of sponsorship status if their sponsor is planning to leave.
