Admissions
Applying to Virginia Commonwealth University School of the Arts in Qatar is a time consuming process which should be taken very seriously. Applicants will need to produce a portfolio, provide references, transcripts, and sit for TOEFL tests. It is vital that you start to plan for this early in the year.
We recommend that applicants read the How to Apply and Requirements and Processes pages very carefully. The following timeline is also helpful.

Application Time Line
September 1:
VCUQ begins to accept applications for the 2008/2009 academic year
Make sure you have all the application forms and information you need to start your application.
Register for a TOEFL test. Often students do better if they take more then one test and there can be long waiting lists.
October:
Start to think about your portfolio. For students not already taking art classes we recommend you take some classes in the fall and develop your portfolio in the early spring.
November:
You may submit complete or partial applications anytime after September 1st. We will begin to consider complete applications in late fall for early admission decisions.
February - March:
Complete and submit all application material
March 30:

May1:
Admission decisions announced.
