VCUQatar Hosts Admissions Presentation at the Four Seasons

On February 20th at 6:00PM VCUQatar will host an information presentation at The Four Seasons Hotel. This open to the public event will be of particular interest to high school juniors, seniors and their families interested in getting a bachelor's degree.

The aim of the evening is for students to learn about career opportunities that a VCUQatar BFA degree offers them. Faculty and staff will explain about the process of enrolling at VCUQatar along with provide details of how a rapidly changing society such as Qatar has a great need for talented young designers. Attendees will get a chance to meet university representatives and current students in-person to have all questions answered.

"Now in our 10th year in Doha, VCUQatar continues to provide outstanding opportunities for young designers to make significant contributions to the design industry. We look forward to talking with prospective students about the range of exciting programs at VCUQatar that prepare students to enter the industry." Said Dr. Charles Bleick, Associate Dean for Academic Affairs.

Through the presentation VCUQatar faculty and staff will explain in both English and Arabic, potential career opportunities in each field of design. Information regarding various application and portfolio requirements, TOEFL examination, fees and scholarships will be presented to the audience.

VCUQatar Chairs for each of the design disciplines; fashion, interior and graphic will explain their subjects in detail and talk about career opportunities relating to each discipline. This interaction between faculty and potential students will prepare students with the information they need to pursue a meaningful higher education.

VCUQatar is accepting applications for the Fall of 2008 now and potential students are encouraged to start finalizing the process.. The deadline for applications is March 30 2008.
