David Gibson is an internationally recognized and published pioneer in the field of public information design. As the co-founder and managing principal of Two Twelve Associates, Inc. in New York City, Mr. Gibson has always believed in the power of design to transform public space and people’s awareness. His leadership on projects for the Chicago Park District, the Partnership for Downtown Baltimore, and Sound Transit in Washington State, are just a few examples of his commitment to making the public his most important client. Mr. Gibson studied architecture at Cornell University before earning a Master’s of Fine Arts degree from Yale University. He was an early proponent of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). He helped develop some of the first disability-aware design guidelines for the Society for Environmental Graphic Design (SEGD), and has served as both a past president and board member. He is the author of the soon to be released The Wayfinding Handbook: Information Design for Public Places.
Kittiratana Pitipanich is an architect, educator and entrepreneur. He is currently the Design Advisory Director for the Thailand Creative & Design Center, a nationally funded public organization created to serve as an education and resource center for the study and advancement of design. The Center holds regular exhibitions and programs and houses a comprehensive collection of design resources. Mr. Pitipanich lectures locally and internationally on Thailand’s creative economic development. He served on the advisory board for the Asian Coalition Workshop for Architecture and Urbanism in cooperation with Hong Kong, Korea, Singapore and China, and was on the Licensing Examination Committee, Architect Council of Thailand. He has a Master’s of Architecture and Urban Design from Columbia University and a Master’s of Architecture from UCLA.
