Master Study Workshop
The master study is an exploratory painting activity that allows students to learn how master artists created their paintings. In this workshop, students will reproduce historical paintings, discovering step-by-step the artist’s decisions regarding composition, color, light, and handling of the paint. Each student will choose one master painting, which they will reproduce on a smaller scale over the course of four classes.
