VCUQatar Students & Alumni

VCUQatar values the cultural diversity of the student body and the learning environment created by a wide variety of personal experiences and cultural backgrounds. Studying at VCUQatar is an enriching experience for all students who seek to explore the world beyond the familiar.

From the first class of 22 alumnae in 2002 to the 51 graduates in 2009, VCUQatar boasts a network of 234 alumni working in public and private sectors and pursuing graduate programs throughout the world.

VCUQatar graduates are active in the design and creative industries, and contribute to the growing reputation of the VCUQatar programs. They have successfully pursued a wide range of professions and have earned positions at such prestigious Qatar institutions as the Emiri Diwan, Museum of Islamic Art, Qatari Diar, Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Agriculture, Ministry of Civil Service Affairs and Housing, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Qatar National Hotels, Qatar Tourism Authority, Al-Jazeera Children’s Channel and the Design Studio of the Social Development Center, among others.

The VCUQatar Office of Design Entrepreneurship and Alumni Affairs supports alumni to develop independent companies to build the design and creative professions in the region. Alumni have already opened their own thriving graphic design, interior design and fashion design companies.
